Looking Back and Moving Forward!

Wow, and then before you know it – it’s December and 2013 is coming to a close! We hope that 2013 has been a year of happiness and health for you and your loved ones. If you’ve been as busy as we have; you may not even have time to exhale before we welcome in 2014! But, it’s important to sometimes bring ourselves back into the present moment and reflect on what has passed and how we can move forward into the future with light, love and laughter.  With the hastening approach of a new year: what better time for reflection and gratitude?

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” – Marcel Proust

We’ve been blessed to have such wonderful people be a part of our 2013 – our patients, the IMUA team and just about everyone who has walked through our doors! Thank you to everyone who has made 2013 a successful and rewarding year for us. Plus IMUA is almost a year old! And what an eventful year it was….

When she’s not busy in the surgery room or in clinic, Dr Ignacio continues to dedicate her time and skills to the University of Hawaii Football and Volleyball teams, as well as her generous involvement in many community leadership events. We are so proud of Dr Ignacio for being awarded Girl Scouts of America Women of Distinction honoreewhat a magnificent achievement!

Dr Gesik continues to move people forward in their healing process and to inspire people through the wonderful work that she does.

In 2013, I was honored to be welcomed to the team as IMUA’s wellness coach, and blogger. Thank you IMUA and thank you to all my wonderful clients who are reading this!

We also have an excellent independent acupuncturist who uses our office on Saturday mornings –please visit http://www.dahliabursellacupuncture.com/ for Dahlia’s contact details.

Moving forward…we are always looking for ways that we can better serve you – moving you forward in the promotion of your health. ..

  • Starting this month, the IMUA Blog will be regularly updated; in the future you won’t need to wait long for our exciting blog posts. Yay!
  • There will soon be an option for you to sign up for our monthly newsletter, which will provide you with healthy tips and recipes.

If you’d like to get more information about Health Coaching or any of the Programs I’d love to hear from you at 808-521-IMUA or by e-mail at imuahealth@gmail.com.

I encourage you, when you reflect on the year that has passed, try not think about what you didn’t do, or what you don’t have – think about what you do have..who are you grateful for? Who made your life better this year?  Expressing gratitude trains your mind to see opportunities instead of failures. . and this is the perfect mindset for welcoming in a new year. Here’s to being alive!
