Anti-Inflammatory Gummies

Adapted from www.thesproutingseed.com

Ingredients

 3/4 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed**

 3/4 cup all natural fruit juice like tart cherry juice, preferably freshly squeezed**

 4-5 Tbsp. high quality gelatin (Find a high quality brand here)

 3-4 Tbsp. raw honey or pure maple syrup

 1/4 tsp. ginger (freshly grated or ground)

 1/4 tsp. turmeric (freshly grated or ground)

Notes: ** For a sour gummy use lemon or lime juice in place of the orange juice. Do not use pineapple juice as the recipe will not work.

Method In a small saucepan, whisk together citrus juice, fruit juice and gelatin until there are no lumps. Heat the liquid over low heat until liquid is warmed and gelatin is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in honey/maple syrup, ginger and turmeric with a spoon. Pour liquid into a casserole dish in a thin single layer. Refrigerate until liquid is set (at least 30 minutes). Cut into small bite-sized pieces.

Serve cold or at room temperature. Gummies will melt if left out on a warm day.

Notes: Alternatively you can purchase silicon molds that can make your gummies more festive.
